Harry

Harry joined Stride when we were first established, and since then, he’s come a long way. Harry is autistic and has faced various challenges related to communication and social interaction.

A budding — and exceptionally talented — photographer, Harry runs The Sky’s The Limit Photography (check out his work at facebook.com/Theskysthelimitphotography5). He’s also responsible for most of the photography featured on our website.

When Harry first came to us, he was in a job where he felt undervalued and misunderstood, and he was barely getting any shifts. Before that, he’d had a number of voluntary roles that hadn’t worked out. What Harry really wanted was to be sociable and have a solid group of friends — something he hoped a supportive work environment could help him achieve.

That’s exactly what happened. With our support, Harry began working at The Hub, and since then, he’s progressed to become Stride’s dedicated photographer. He’s also started working for Alchemy Hub. Along the way, he’s built a fantastic group of friends whom he sees regularly outside of work.

Today, Harry feels valued in his role, works four days a week, and benefits from a strong internal support network and understanding management.
