A New Beginning for Young Neurodivergent Individuals

At Stride Yorkshire, we understand that not every young person thrives in mainstream or SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) education settings. That’s why we are excited to announce the launch of our brand-new Alternative Provision service in 2025.

Designed specifically for neurodivergent individuals aged 16–25, this 12-week tailored programme offers a fresh approach for those who may be struggling to engage with traditional education systems.

What we offer:

Our Alternative Provision is bespoke and person-centred. Every young person will receive a custom support package based on their unique needs, strengths, and goals. Over the 12 weeks, we focus on building practical skills, strategies, and confidence, helping individuals:

Develop coping mechanisms for education settings
Access alternative pathways such as:
- Internships
- Apprenticeships
- Traineeships
Prepare for supported employment opportunities (18+)
Strengthen personal development and independence

Clear Outcomes

By the end of the 12-week programme, every individual will achieve a clear, meaningful outcome. This might be:

Transitioning into an internship, apprenticeship, or job
Progressing into a different educational setting
Continuing engagement with Stride Yorkshire for further development

I’ve been coming to Stride for the past couple of months and have been in the care of Logan. I’m autistic and since I left school, I’ve been lost, I don’t know what I want to do with myself, job wise and career wise, I failed in college I’ve been suffering with mental health including intrusive and obsessive thoughts brought upon by pure O, along with anxiety and depression and I didn’t have any friends after being rejected and bullied by peers time and time again. It’s been a struggle, but since I’ve been having my meetings with Logan weekly, he’s really helped me, I’m already seeing a difference, he is someone I can talk to about my mental health and help me in my recovery journey, he’s helping me come up with ideas for what kind of job I’d like and he’s introduced me to people I have common ground with and have developed friendships with. INDEPENDENCE COACHING

Strides approach to coaching is goal driven, utilising a non-judgemental, specialist approach to support that encapsulates years of tried and tested experience.

ALTERNATIVE PROVISION

Stride will soon be setting up an alternative provision, to assist Neurodivergent individuals (16-25) when other education isn’t the right fit.

NEURODIVERSITY TRAINING

Designed for workplaces who want to break down the walls to a whole new talent pool of people that think differently, or get the most out of their existing neurodivergent staff members.

CONSULTANCY

We believe in taking the time to get to know an individuals full situation, what makes them the person that they are, both currently and historically. Only then can we truly help.
